Who makes/chambers a .243 in a lightweight synthetic setup?
The few I've seen so far.....are weatherby, HS precision, Christenson arms, if remington or browning does.....I haven't seen it or don't care for it's look, though maybe I've missed one?
I'd like to get a lightweight rifle in a synthetic preferably a lighter sandy color, though that's not essential, assumed to spend $1000+, but if I go custom it looks like that'll be closer to $3000, the weatherby I think is about $!600-1700.
Not opposed to a quality setup for cheaper than a $1000, just haven't found it, any help out there?

I own a Kimber. It's the Classic not the Montana. It's a .308 not a .243 but its been a dandy (no issues what-so-ever) and shoots well. I topped it with a Swaro AV 3-9 X 36 and it's very light weight. I didn't like the Montana because it has a blind mag. I have heard of some QC issues with Kimber's from other folks. I guess you never know for sure. I may buy another some day.
BTW, NULA kind of pioneered the ultra light weight rifles. They are very good but pricey.

PS- that tikka looks like junk, I hate that stock/bolt. Is it just me or does anyone else hate the shape of their syn stock? I think HS precision is calling....from what I've seen so far, or maybe that ultralight weatherby, but I kinda dont want a weatherby in .243.
A blind magazine is one that doesnt have a floorplate to remove the cartridges. A good example is a Rem 700 ADL, the cartridges must be loaded from the top and to be removed they must be cycled through the action.
Another option would be either a a Sako M75 or M85 FinnLite in 243 Win. They offer 1 MOA accuracy and a removable stainless magazine.
On another note I wouldnt call the Tikka junk but I had a T3 Lite in 270 WSM that patterned much like a shotgun with a modified choke, needless to sayit went back to the dealer.
