Default Kimber modification

I would like to seat my bullets .030 off of the lands but after taking some measurements with the stoney point it will not be possible due to the length of the box magazine. Has anyone modified one to make it work or is there an after market fix?

Before considering modification of the rifle did you try loading some rounds and shooting groups to determine if the gun would benefit from .030 freebore.

Curious are you lengthing the OCL or shorting it?

With spitzer type bullet I would thing .010" off the lands would be optainable. With say Billistic tips may be not.
