Default Ruger 357/9mm

Has anyone shot or handled this wheel gun yet.....Just woundering due to the fact that the 9 has to be around a 1/1000" differance.I was currious on how they make it up in the barrel,if its the twist or if its close enough that the 9 expands enough to take up the room in the barrel...

357/38 I understand but 357/9mm,I sure it comes with a 9mm cylinder(spl) but its the barrel that Iam puzzeld on....

Well i have the blackhawk( presumming thats the model you mean?)with the 2 cylinders 357/9mm - it shoots pretty nice with the 38.s/357,s and thats what i have mostly ever used &put threw it. But i did use the 9mm when i first got it yrs ago & it wasnt very accurate with the 9mm -least with the ammo i tryed.

My experience is that the cylinders built for the auto rounds will carbon up fairly quickly, and make it harder to rotate the cylinder. As far as accuracy goes, it just depends on the revolver and the ammo. Ruger builds strong & safe, but some variability in their dimensions.

Not having shot the model in question but having "expiremented" with a few 9mm bullets in a 357 in short cases and what not . The accuracy was good enough for the whacking of 4x4 blocks out to 25yds or so in my security six . I want to get a 45 acp cyl for my 45 colts black hawk . My dads 1917 S&W is built for acp and has never that I know of had a fouling problem .
Also the differance in the 9mm and 357/38 is .002 . 9mm is .355/356cast and 38/357 is 357/358cast .
By the way those lil 85grn gold dots must have been making about 1400 fps .

I had one that shot "adequate" with both cylinders. The 357's shot like most other 357 wheelguns. The 9mm actually shot better than a lot of autos I've owned. It wasn't a target gun by any means, but it would shoot 3" to 4" groups from a sandbag at 25 yards with most factory loads.
