howa package gun

I was at my local gun store today and saw a Howa with a camo stock and a scope already mounted. The gun also came with a Howa gun case. Has anyone had one of these and how do they shoot. How is the scope and what price range should this gun be in.

With any of the cheaper or economy packages,you aren't going to get a good scope in on the deal unless you upgrade.

I have one of them in 243. and it is one of the most accurte rifles i own. A buddy of mine bought it at walmart for $307.He put on a simmons 44mag scope then turned around and sold it to me for $285. Because he was hurting for money.What kind of scope comes on the one your looking at

The Howa packages are awesome, especially the ones that come with the NikkoSterling scope(won optic of the year)
I just bought one of those Howa Hogue combos in .308 and it is a sweeeeeeeeeeet shooter. On the range today, I put 4 shots into a 3/4 inch ragged hole at 100 yards and another 2 shots into a common hole just a few inches away. They're great guns and you won't be disappointed.

TheHowa is a solid rifle. It is also produced for Weatherby and sold as the Vanguard. As far as the scope on the package rifle I have no idea as too its quality. Most scopes on package guns are cheap and will get you by until you can afford a better scope.
