lmao! Pressure tested up to 700psi? You were told wrong.
See, back when cva was actually owned by cva, in 95-96 they let a shipment of muzzleloaders slip into the US and they were unsafe. CVA "at the time" didnt care and just let them go in. They had poor safety inspections back then. CVA went out of business and some years later BPI bought the cva name brand and started production and increased their safety and quality. The barrels on the elites and other cva's are top notch and safe. The dude that said they tested the barrels only to 700psi is full of it. Did he bother to tell you that the TC encore centerfires have had barrel explosions too? Or even back in the 1970s TC had the barrel busting hawken?
There are a lot of fools that only go by " Made is USA" and they that because its made in the USA that it is the best. It would be nice if it were true, but ive gotten my rear end reamed out by US made products.
All cva's made today are quality and dependible and are great shooters. You'll also get the common " Ah buy tc! they have the best warranty!" That would be great, but they do NOT fix the problems they know the rifle has, and just send you new parts to get you up and going again.
i know one guy on here was about to buy a TC because his cva had a stiff trigger. I told him to send it to cva and they would adjust it free and he did so and was happy with the trigger he got back.
The cva elite is a great deal IMO. I'd love to buy one but i am a huge winchester muzzleloader fan and can not see myself buying another inline. Well someday down the road i can see a new elite on my rack
Dont listen to the fools that try putting one brand down. ALL muzzleloaders on the market to this day have their share of problems.
