The tikka tactical rifle is pretty close to top of class within it's price range. As you know, every rifle is different even within same brand/model/caliber and may vary. All factory rifles being mass produced, they do a excellent job of holding tolerences to miminum.

Just picked upa Tikka T3 Lite in .308, and will she how she groups this week. I've been hearing many good things about the Tikka line, and it's a real dandy of a rifle for sure. I hope that mine shoots like yours!!

my understanding is that Tikka will not ship a rifle out until it has been tested and shoots under 1"

Well, to say that I'm impressed with this rifle is an understatement!!
Talk about a shooter!! The trigger pull right out of the box is awesome as well. Went to the range last sunday and finally got it sighted in. At 100 yards the group was definitely inside of 1", and then tried it at 200 yards, and the group was almost as good, 1" + !!!!! It's a .308 and I was shooting Winchester's 168gr Ballistic Silvertips. All I can say is what a combo, and she's a keeper!!

Has anybody shot this one yet?....I would love to know how it shoots with that short barrel...

T3 Big Boar
A boar is a tough creature that is perfectly adapted to live and operate in the confined spaces of brush and woods. He can turn on a dime, and unleash his awesome power in spite of the tangled mess of vegetation around him. Inspired by the strengths of this mighty game animal, we have created a rifle that would be perfect for the hunter who chases his quarry in dense woods or from a tree-stand, or for the rancher who likes to keep a versatile rifle handy in the back of his pickup. The T3 Big Boar Synthetic features a quick-handling 19" barrel, cold-hammer forged and free-floated. The stock is made of durable fiberglass-reinforced polymer, and it features a straight comb and ambidextrous palm-swell. The detachable magazine holds three rounds " choose between 308 Win, 30-06, or 300 WSM. Overall, the rifle measures only 39.5" in length and tips the scales at 6.1lbs.

I would certainly like to know what ammo they used in the T3 Lite 270 WSM I recently purchased. I just tried the 4th factory offering(have used 130-140 gr) and this thing can spray em into a 3 inch group or the best groups so far are 1 1/2". Needless to say I am not impressed.[8D]
