Every gun is differant so the same model wont shoot the same ammo the same. To find the most accurate ammo out of your gun buy several boxes and let the gun decide. I would give Hornady SST's a try.

My son has on 870 express. His rifled barrel LOVES shooting the 20ga Lightfield slugs. They are dead accurate out to at least 100 yards. He has killed 2 deer with it so far.

I have tried them all in two 870s. And lightfields are the most consistent. I have had luck with coppersolids also. Only like the 2.75" shells, not the 3". I get occasional flyers from coreloks

My 870 really likes the lightfeild ,, they shoot excelent, I didnt see this type of groups with the sst, just my 2 cents worth, best to shoot different types of slugs, and see wich one your gun likes. ps I been hearing good things about the rem Buckhammers? may try to shoot these this year.....

I had the best luck with the Rem. Copper Solids. The Hornady SST's, Rem. Corelokts, Winchester Plantinum tips and Brenneke Super Sabots were ok, but nothing close to the copper solids. I would seriously give them a try. It seemed like I wasted time and money trying the new, best and fastest slugs(as stated above) that didn't really perform well for my barrel. I've spoke with quite a few people that have had similar results w/ the Copper Solids. The 3" ones worked quite wellfor me. Haven't tried the 2 3/4". Good luck.
