How do you rate this gun for small game and how big of game will it cleanly kill?I was told to use the heaviest pellets available so it doesn't blow the skirts.................need a solid mt.as they have a reputation for wrecking cheap ones................Harold [easily penetrates 1" lumber both sides]

I have one and use it for squirrels and shooting turtles. It is a great gun though you need to try different brands of pellets to see which one yours shoots best. I've tried some brands that would not shoot very good at all. Mine seems to like the Remington pellets the best.

I bought some Crossman Premier Ultra Mags@ 10.5 gr they were the heaviest pellet [thickest skirt] I could find.Will try some accuracy and penetration tests later today.It shot right through 1" lumber and 3/4 of the way through a 2x4.........Harold
