Default Recommended pistol scope?

I'm going to post this ??? in a couple spots. And yes, I have tried to search this.

I'm looking for a pistol scope for my T/C Encore in 30-30. I only shoot it now and then, so I'm not really wanting to spend Swarovski or Zeiss or even Leupold money. But I know I won't be happy with junk either. I'm looking for a scope that gives me ample eyerelief (you don't want to shoot this thing near your face!), very good field of view (probably the most important feature), and a fixed 4 power would do nicely. It will be used in hunting situations where you would draw quickly, locate target and shoot.
I live and hunt in Wyoming and our G&F regs do not allow any scope or hunting eqipment that uses " artificial light". So all the Red Dot/Green Dot scopes are out. (All you Wyoming guys might contact your legislator to get this changed).

So . . . what do ya think?

A Leupold pistol scope should due the trick. I use a 2x on revolvers and 4x on the Lone Eagle 35 Reminton.

Game,

I have a 2X nikon Monarch on my encore .44 magnum that does the trick. I'm not sure if they offer a 4X but the price was quite reasonable compared to the leupold, and it is a nice clear scope.

There are a few good pistol scopes for darn reasonable money. Check out weaver handgun scopes and bushnell trophy handgun scopes in that order.
