Default Model 70 Pro Shadow

The other day I walked into a pawn shop that I'd never been in before. Noticed a really sleek looking gun that I'd never seen anywhere. Turned out to be a .270 Model 70 Pro Shadow with a decent scope already mounted. I'm not at all a fan of synthetic stocks, but this one just felt really nice. The action was really smooth, and overall the gun was in great condition. I can get it for around $350. Good deal? More importantly, good gun? I've never owned any bolt action deer rifle, much less a M70 so I have no basis for comparison here. Any advice would be appreciated.

If you like it, and it's comfortable, get it.

I know lots of people that like to tease Winchester, because of the manufacturing, but they are good hunting guns.

I have several of the M70 featherweight and ithey are great guns. if it wasnt for Winchester closing rifle line for a couple of years I would by a few more M70. You can still get parts for them just about anywhere you go. I have never had any problems with them. They are built with the upmost quaility. The price of them has gone up a little since they stoped making them, and the wood stock one are hard to find unless you buy a used one from a gun show. $350 I think is a great deal.
