Default yes or no??

heres an easy one for you guys, (and i should know the answer but i dont) but here it is, i have a 12 ga and on the barrel it states that it takes 3" shells, ok no problem, but where i buy my ammo from (usually) has target load for my shotgun, but it says that it is 2 3/4" universal. so will this work in my gun? im not sure what the universal is for, and by the way, the shells are made by winchester that i was looking at.

thanks

If your shotgun is labeled for 3", you should be able to take 2-3/4" shells... ( YES )

Your pump will be fine with 2 3/4" shells.

I don't think you could shoot "2 3/4 if your gun was "3 1/2 chamber, but, like you said, yours is a "3.
