Default Help me choose a revolver: S&W 620. 686, or 627?

Well I'm selling my tupperware and all related. Nothing against my XD but I just keep thinkin' everytime I get it out how I do not honestly expect to be able to pass that gun down to my kids whenever in the future i may have any. And I really just dont care much for automatics. After shopping for AR stuff I talked myself out of that. I just cant leave my leverguns either. But basically I got cash to burn, I realize the 627 is priced abit beyond the 620 and 686 but if convinced enough i'll come up with some extra on it. I want a 4-5" barrel and I want the mag capacity of 7 minimum. I've heard some bad about the pull weight on the 627 but have never shot any. And i'm not too worried about the barrel construction on the 620. What do you guys think?

I bought my first revolver last year. It was a 6" barrelled 686+. I have ben very happy with the gun. I don't have much experience, but it appears that the 686 is like a bolt action .30-06; something evry one should own, and let your interests guide you from there.

well i've been tossing up the 4" RSRH but I cant find anyone with one in stock. For some reason i've been itching for .357. I honestly even considered some a Ruger Vaquero but I want double action and I would like abit more lead to sling out. I'm waiting for the next gunshow at our expo center next month and try some on for size. I guess my reason why i looked at the Vaquero is the nostalgia to it. I love shooting/carrying my old super single. But I'm thinkin' of letting technology/capacity outweigh nostalgia.

Go with the S&W 686.... i have shot and carried one for years and from an accuracy and reliability standpoint, I'm of the opinion that this one is the best of the best and pretty much the only one I would trust my life with!

Another vote for the 686+. The 627 is nice, but not worth the extra cash to me.
