Default savage 111

has anyone had any problems with the savage 111 in 30-06 a guy at work sold me one for 225 and was just wondering if there was any problems with this gun. i know that the 110 is not a bad gun but i have not heard anything about the 111

we have two of them and both are very accurate ,one with detachable mag an one without . If the gun is in good shapeI think you got a deal .

I agree with halcon. $225 is a good price. And Savages are normally good shooters.

I'll be honest; I can't tell the difference between the 110 and the 111. Some 110's have sights and some don't; same as 111's; some are wood, some synthetic, same as 111's. Sometimes I think it's just a game that Savage plays for the heck of it.

I have trouble believing that the 111 will shoot any different than a 110, and my 110 in .30-06 is a fine rifle. I actually prefer it tothe Remington 700 BDL that I also own.

I have the 111 in 25-06, with accu trigger, awesome shooter, very accurate, i have a stevens 200 as well in 223 remington it does not have the accu trigger but is a tack driver and was only 279.00 new

There are only a few little things that change the 110 from the 111, but it's nothing that the naked eye can see. So, basically there the same... and for 225 that's sounds like a good deal as long as it's not all beat up and scared.
Anyways, just shoot it and have fun that's what counts !!
