I own one and it's a decent little squirrel gun. I put a 3-9x32 bushnell banner (cheapo) scope on mine and it gets the job done. i plan to shoot it alot in the offseason to get it sighted just right.

Great rifle for the money. If I had no plans on hopping a .22 up I would pick it over a 10/22. 10/22's are great if you want to trick them out. You can get everything under the sun for them. I'm not overly impressed with them out of the box though.

Another great shooting .22 for the money is the Henry lever action. One of the most accurate out of the box .22's I have ever owned. And it cost less than $200 when I got mine.

the marlin model 60 was my first gun and is still my favorute gun. It is a very reliabe and is extremly accurate. The best .22I have ever used and is cheap and is better than most 500$ guns.

I have the henery lever action& marlin 60& the ruger 10/22.

Im not sure why( maybe a lemon)- but my marlin 60never did work right it jams quite a bit & still does.

The ruger& henery i have never had a problem with.

I love my old childhood Marlin model 60!I can't even begin to count how many rounds I have put through it. My daughters owns it now as she, um, well, uh, outshot me with it at the outdoor range at 100 yards. Hey, she earned it...

The Marlin model 60 does get a little finicky from time to time, depending on what flavor of .22 ammo you feed it, and while it is an awesome little rifle, it does absolutely DEMAND to be kept clean.
