I went to local gunshop this eve and noticed a bunch of the Leupold scopes with red paint splatter on them. I also noticed a gun they had(didnt know what it was) that the stock also had the red paint splattering to match the scope. You could tell it wasnt done at the gunshop, I didnt get what they were trying to do.
Have any of you guys seen these? They were on different models. I didnt think it looked that good and wasnt sure what the deal was, Yal know?

The Leupold Custom shop offers a variety of finishes. That may be where the scope came from anyway. I've seen some websites offer the splattered kind on sale.

I seems like an odd paint scheme to come out of a custom shop. Did you ask the gun shop what the deal was? I would expect to see something like that on a speed gun or maybe a sporting clays gun but having it on the scope is just strange.
Maybe they were painting the store and they got sprayed on accident.
