I doubt any of the guns with this trigger have made it to the distributors yet.

Just had a couple rifles shipped in the other day and one of them has the new trigger!
It breaks at 3lbs 12oz. and is very crisp w/ no sign of creap.
I pulled the action out and dropped it down to an even 3 pounds.
I don't care for the fact that they did away w/ the serrated trigger, this one is smooth.

I haven't seen one yet. But, just about anything would be an improvement over the Walker-Remington trigger. The Walker-Remingtontrigger was one of themost over-ratedabomination ever heped upn the shooting public. [:'(]

I would like to be a fly on the wall listening to the conversation between Ruger and Remington and their lawyers as theytry to figure out how to keep from loosing ALL of their sales to other companies who have lighter and adjustable triggers.

tried it out on a demo rifle at the shot show.....nice trigger, much better feel than the old ones - but i wouldnt run out and sell my old remingtons because of it.....incidentally ruger put a new trigger system in its new m77's they call they hawkeye or something...its a nice trigger too....certainly the best i've tried on a ruger rifle in a long time

Yep and if done properly it can be made to feel like triggers costing much more. I really never found the 700 trigger to be a downfall, I have adjusted mine and never had a problem with safety or getting a clean/crisp 3lb pull (all I require for a big game hunting rifle).

The new trigger ismarketed to be adjustable but I noticed they state it must be done by certifiedpersonnel . So they still aren't saying "self adjustable".

I can't see any real difference in feel from the old trigger.
I have 20 some 700s and haven't found a bad trigger yet. Anybody w/ common sense and a pull scale can adjust a remington trigger.
Remington has had the best trigger for years. Since 1962!
Way better than that trigger with a piece of tin in the middle of it.

I squeezed the new trigger a few times Saturday at the local gunshop, and it didn't feel any better than a regular 700 trigger.
