Ruger 10/22 Magnum vs. remington 597 mag.

Anyone have experince with either of these rifles, please let me know about your experinces with either one good or bad. I want a semi auto .22 mag these two seem the most available new. Thanks.

Guess your going to get the 597. Ruger has stopped making the .22mag auto due to a design problem and the sales of those guns weren't enough to justify fixing the design. Check out rimfirecentral.com to get latest news. Hear good and bad about the remington with most problems being attributed to bad magazines, so make sure you get a few spares. hope it helps.

I have a 597 .22mag it seems to be alright for what I use it for. There is alot of talk about them jamming , mine has never jammed after 500 rounds

I have a Rem. 597M that i bought several years ago. I put a straight 7.5X Leupoldscope on it, and it's quite accurate. It's only used for "pest control", so it doesn't get shot a lot, but to this day it has never jammed of failed to function in any way...

i know you didnt mention this but marlin i believe makes one still my dad has 2 of them with cheap tasco scopes and they shoot great we use one for coon hunting and have never had it jam or anything i used to use it for coyotes also it is clip fed just letting you know maybe you arent interested
