Default Bushnell 3200 2x7 rifle scope

Has anyone used this scope. I know as a rule they are top notch scopes but you don't hear much about the 2x7 which I really like. My best scope is a thirty some year old Redfield 27x Tracker scope which has seen use on all the big Magnums that I ever owned. 416 Rem Mag, 338 and 300 Mags. Its time to start watching for a new one in case the old Redfiel ever gives up the ghost.

I got the 2-7 on my 460 pistol. But its for a pistol. I have a 3X9 on one rifle, and a 2.5-10 4200 on another. i love em. I know alot of guys who has trashed thier scopes on these super pistols, and wonder how long it will last on my Smith. When eld said these pistols trash scopes, he wasn't kidding.

But I have made the elites my first brand I look at to put on most guns. Sometimes I still like a good Leupold and have a bunch. Its hard to impress me, but I believe the 4200s are just as clear as any Zeiss, which I also love. Only time will tell if the elites stand up to the same abuse as the ziess and leupys.

I agree, I have 4.5-14's and 6.5-20's, and even 3.5-10's, and find the 2-7 is optimal for hunting up to 300 yards. the big ones has screwed up a shot more than once. Older I get lower power I go. In fact, I changed my Muzzleloading and slugguns scopes to 1.5-5.

I have a 3200 elite, 4x12 on my .300 win mag, and so far it has served well. I would guess that the 2x7 would serve you well as well.

I think I better try one. For a few years I hunted with my 12X silhouette scope. I would pull up on an aniaml and all I could see was hair. I had to wait until they got out 75 yards or so before I could really see them. It was great for long shots though as long as you knew about what range you were shooting. The 2x7 work from tree stand ranges to 250-300 yards pretty well. Thanks Gents.

You know my love for 2x7's...lol. I had a 4x12 on a rifle in my younger days and slipped right up on a deer and couldnt even see it in the scope...reallized real quick 2x7 was all the scope I'd be needin..lol. Now I have a couple of 3x9's several 2x7's and I even have a 1.75x5 Bushnell Trophy that I like pretty well. I have killed several deer between 250-300 with the 2x7's as well James. I'll be expecting a full report on that scope after ya get it iffn you arent homeless

She wouldn't kick me out just before hunting season. ME GREAT HUNTER.. Does that Pro-Straff come in a 2x7 for centerfire rifles? I wish I had picked up about half a dozen of thsoe 2x7 Redfield Trackers way back when. I think they were about 65.00 bucks when I got that one. Of course that was a pretty hefty price for a scope 35 years ago.

They were top of the line stuff at one time. I have not tried any of the new ones. I am still trying to get the number of scopes and rifles to come out even.. Of course then you would need a spare of each.
