Default Favorite Rifle/Shotgun

what's y'alls all-around favorite rifle/shotgun?? I like the Ruger 10/22, Marlin 1886 (35 remington), AR-15, and Winchester Model 1873 as rifles. And my all around favorite shotgun is the Remington 1100. I have a Franchi single shot that shoots a great pattern, shoots2 1/2" shells.

Ban Canned Hunting. If you don't speak up against it you are part of the problem.

I'm still a fan of the old 870. But I'm becoming more of a fan of the rifle/shotgun combos. Especially since I do a lot of hog hunting in mountain lion country.

This is the Savage 24F in 12 guage and 30-30. Not a bad brush gun.

Oh man that hita nerve. I have so many different favorite gun depending where I'm deer hunting.
Rifle-Remmington 7400 with a 3-9 Niukon Buckmaster scope
Muzzle loader Thompson Center Omega with a 3-9 Buckmaster scope
Shotgun Rifled barrel Remming 11-87 with a simmons 3-9 Scope
Unscoped shotgun with a rifled Barrel Browning Auto-5
Buck shot gun Browning Auto-5 3 in Mag. with a full choke 32 in barrel

But if I had to pick just one favorite it would be a Browning Auto-5 with a 26 in barrel and invector chokes. The best amd most reliable gun ever made and set up like this I could hunt everything.

Hey DM! Do you have any issues with that scope? Does it matter whether you are shooting the shot or bullet?

I've never even considered putting a scope on mine, thought I would have zeroing issues.

I don't exactly understand your question, but:

The scope is mounted with claw mounts, so i just keep it in my pack when i don't need it. I can snap it on anytime and it always comes back to zero... Same with the other guns i've had with claw mounts, they have all worked excelent!

If i didn't answer your question, ask again and i'll explain further...

30-30 Winchester 94

To me, it's the 65 GTO of guns; Sure there are plenty of cars that are faster, havebetter handling, better aerodynamics, more options, more value, etc............But there ain't nuthin like it.

Rifle: pre '64 Winchester model 70 .30-06

Shotgun: have owned several, but none has qualified as a "favorite". I hope to find one that does some day.
