New 270 wsm owner, ammo ??????

Now that I have a 270 wsm, where can I purchase ammunition? does wal-mart still carry Rifle ammo ? if so, whats the winchester BST goin for ? Thanks, Stevie.

Our Walmart here handles it. They just have one load. The WW Supreme 130 Grain Ballistic Silvertips. Any good gun store will also carry it. Midway and Cabelas also have it. I just got a new one as well.

Congrats on your purchase, It is a fine round with alot of reloading possibilities. I like the 150 grain win superXsp. They are simple and easy to find. The new fusion fed. should be great too.Good luck and hppy hunting.

My local WalMart has the 130 BST's too but I found them cheaper at Bass Pro Shops in Charlotte last week. I was planning to give the new Federal Fusion load a try, but they were sold out.

I have a Browning A-Bolt micro-hunter in 270wsm and it really likes the 140 gr. accubond bullets,plus they come in 4-5round sleeves making it very easy to carry extra rounds in a shirt or jacket pocket.

I used the Winchester 130 gr. BST's in my .270 and continue to use them in it's replacement .270 WSM, shoot great and work great on deer.

Another vote for the win 130 grain silvertips , not sure how they preform on game [ Ill bet its good] but they shoot 1/2 inch groups out of my supershadow , best shoot'n gun Ive owned . Now I just need a deer to step out .
