First find out what tools the school will issue to you.Youwill likelyget issued the basic tools needed for the course and anything above and beyond that is up to you. If you will be attending CST they will issue the basichand and machine shop toolsto you.
Brownells is a great source but are rather epensive if you are not set up as a dealer for dealer pricing. I would wait until you actually start attending school because they are probably set up to get dealer pricing for their students.
Midwayusa.com is less expensive but do not have the selection that Brownells does.
