Default Taurus PT140

Im thinking about purchasing a Taurus PT140, can any one tell me how they have preformed for them, how they like them or why they dont like them.

I have a PT145 its the same as the PT140 only in 45 acp and I absolutely love it for a small package its very accurate, golf ball size groups at 10 yards. its also very reliable I have put about 2,000 rounds through it and have not had one malfunction. its my full time carry gun. the only down side is fobus doesnt make a holster for it but i did find a very nice leather holster for it made by JBP in cheaper than dirts catalog.

I hated mine. Every time I shot the magazine would fall out because the recoil would make my thumb hit the mag release button. The 14 pound trigger pull didn't help either.

I also have the PT 145. Sloppy patterns at first until I fixed the the trigger travel after let off. And I quickly learned not to use +P loads. (Just too unruly). Now I trust it completely with my life and it fits into my survival kit.

besides, the performance increase in a 45 acp +P isnt enough to justify the amount of recoil increase in this little package I too stay away from +P ammo. my carry ammo is winchester supreme 230 grain SXT loads, they are a little pushier compared to the 185 grain silvertip HP's but the muzzle flip is much easier to recover from then with the lighter grain load. lighter grain loads have higher velocities which constitute more muzzle flip.
