Default nef single shot 12 gauge turkey?

Anybody have one of these or shot one, my friend was looking for a cheaper turkey gun and i figured this would be a great choice. I have a remington 870 supermag and know how the 3 1/2 kick but i was wandering how much does this gun kick with 3 1/2 and how much one costs without camo and with it. thx

Lets put it this way, you better not have any fillings in your teeth. The little NEF 3 1/2 incher is what recoil is all about.

For a number of years I shot turkeys with NE's Pardner 12. Although it only used the 3 inch shell it would almost knock you into tomorrow. I filled the stock with lead and put an aftermarket pad on it which helped some, but there was no mistaking when you touched it off.

I must say though when I shot it in a hunting situation I didn't notice it all that much.

That must be where the day went that I seemed to have lost.

I respectfully disagree. I have a friend who has a 10 ga which had less apparent recoil with 3 1/2" shells than a Winchester 12 ga pump with 3" until I put a better recoil pad on the 12.

I had the 10 Ga too but it was a much heavier gun and didn't bite like the 12 ga with the Turkey loads.

my brotherinlaw got one second hand like new,has two chokes,it will shoot the 3 1/2 mag. he got one bird with it at about 60 yards.it had a steel bar in it to help out with the recoil, but it made it very heavy he took it out and done a shot sitting on the ground without the steel bar , like they said it will knock your teeth out. if you downsize the load its alright.

Hell, I shot my freinds NEF single 10 gage for geese and it was not bas at all. It had a full choke on it. I dont even notice recoil during the excitement of a hunt.

Many a turkey went down to my old 36" barreled, full choke12 ga. H&R single shot goose gun. I think I paid $40 for it back in '86.My favorite thing to do with it was slip a hot loaded 3" in her and hand it off to a friend to shoot for the first time.Bowled one guy completely over on his back from a sitting position. Ouch!!! The 10 guage doesn't even come close because it weighs so much more. The biggest rifle I've shot is a 416 Wby. and it didn't even come close!
