Default NEF .204

I know there's already a post on NEF rifles on this page, but wondering if anyone has an NEF in .204 ruger. I owned an NEF .223 in the past and it was a pretty good shooter.

I found a used .204 locally and just wondering how accurate this cartridge is in the New England and what a typical price would be for a used gun in excellent condition.

Thanks in advance.

I wouldnt think more than 140 since you can get them new for 160 to 199. I got mine for 199. EJ

Only thing I don't like about the NEF rifles is the Trigger. Would rather spend a little more and pick up a Savage with Accu Trigger. My neighbor took his Savage in .204 out west last year and shot about 400 ground hogs with it. Said the .204 did real well even in windy conditions. I have several .223's and would like to get a .204, but ammo is still high on the .204. The other nice gun is the Savage .17 cal, the one I have is atack driver, but it won't have the range of the .204.

higg, i got one for my birthday the other day, i took the scope off of my rem 700 in 22-250, because i want to buy a better scope for it anyway[&:], now my new nef in .204 has a tasco 6-24X42 and is shooting .700" groups @ 100 yrds. it is a cool little caliber, i wanted a cheaper gun to keep out of the safe all the time for coyotes and other critters, i got less than 275$ total in it, i am shooting factory loads currently (17.00$/20[:-]), don't have a chrono but i have heard speed is down a little from whats advertised, the trigger is a little rough and tight, but this will be taken care of in short order, overall i'm pleased, mine also cost 199$
