Default AR -15 by HESS

I am looking at getting an AR in .223. I really do not want to spend a lot of money for a weapon I will use on coyotes and other small game. The local gun shop has some HESS AR-15 look-a-likes for $559. I know nothing about this rifle. Are they solid shooters, any prblems? The gun shop says they have not had any issues, but I am not all that trusting of them. They are usually very competitive, but big on getting as many guns as possible out the door.

Any info or advice would be greatly appreciated.

I would not be surprised if, sometime shortly after buying the gun, you had functioning problems that could only be cured by replacing the bolt carrier assembly. These are anywhere from $120 to $220. For that much more over the price of the new HESS,you could purchase a Bushmaster or a Rock River Arms gun. And they not only have a good bolt carrier assembly, but they also have a good barrel and quality internal parts as well. Spend a couple bucks more and get a quality gun.
