Default Savage 112 7mm stw

I have recentaly purchased a Savage 112 7mm stw stainless barrel and bolt, with a blue receiver, synthetic stock and a muzzle break. having trouble finding much information about this rifle. can someone tell me the excact model? I have foud something similar listed as a 112fsak it also said there were not many of these made. Anyone know much about this gun? The 25th Blue book of guns does not include the 7mm stw in any of the 112 models.
It does not have the accue trigger.l

all of the 112's I've seen have had blued receivers and fluted stainless barrels. Does a 112 have the same action as a 110? I didn't realize a savage action was long enough for an stw.

With your gun having a blued receiver and a stainless barrel it sounds to me like a someone may have had a magnum 112 and changed the barrel to 7mm STW. This would be a very simple conversion from, say a 300 mag or 7mm mag to the STW.

Could be, but the barrel is clearly stamped 7mm STW and to me looks like manufactor factory engraving.
Would like to here more from anyone out there.

I will have to send the serial number into Savage, hear what they have to say about this gun... interesting... Thanks everyone, Shoot till it hurts !

well, he has the 112 in stainless, and I have the 111 in blued. They both shoot great!!! His is right around an inch with Ultra Corelokts, and mine is around a half inch with handloads. I really feel the success comes from handloading for this round. Especially if you can achieve 3250 fps or greater.
