You should like it,they look like nice guns. But realy all you bought was a glorifide SPS.
They are nice looking guns,I looked at them but decided on the SPS in 300 Ultra.

No but for a price diffrence of 200.00+ dollars I can buy a stock and have it bedded.

I looked at the XCR and as I said it is a nice looking gun,but not as nice as the CDL or the Stainles SPS.
You should be happy with it,let me know how it shoots.

Yes it can be glass bedded. Being Canadian I have no clue what state side smiths charge sorry. It isn't a huge amount here 80-160 depending on smith, work involved and materials used. Before you have it bedded make sure to put some rounds through it first, you may find it to be acceptable and you'll have a baseline to compare after the smith work has been completed. I would suggest to have the trigger pull reduced to 3 - 3 1/2 lbs by a smith, the cost of this is very minimal but can provide a noticable improvement in group size. Here most guys charge 1/2 hour labour charge provided the trigger is in sound working condition, 25-40 dollars for adjustment. If you want it re-worked or polished it would be double but for the majority adjustmentto clean/crisp 3 lbs range trigger is plenty for off the shelf hunting rifle.

If you don't know a good gunsmith in your area, make sure to ask around tofind one. They are not created equal in quality or workmanship, so do some homework before dropping your baby off!

Best of luck and enjoy
