The Rem V-Max loads have been out for 3-4 years now.
I use them in my Marlin 882SSV.
At 100 yds 1" is the norm and I have shot several .7" or less groups.
Any chuck or crow inside 175 yds is in trouble.

I have tryed this load on yotes and found it did not penatrate enough to ancore a yote .
They ran 30-150 yds before dieing.

wow i didn't know they have been out for 3 or 4 years. i had never seen them before and the salesman at the counter was telling everyone they are new on the market. it's stamped NEW item on the box. i wonder if it they made a small change and are calling them new. i never had had much luck with remington shells either but i thought i would give them a try. i still have not tried the supremes yet.

Never tried the Rem V-max, mostly due to the price, but found the CCI TNTs shoot pretty good in my Ruger.
Johnch, have you tried any other 22 mag loads for yotes?

I've been useing the Rem's for a couple years now, they shoot very good in my 597M and the gun has not jammed even one time since new.

I've shot several pest around here includeing several groundhogs in the garden, that load really anchors them!! Longest shot i've made with them isn't all that long at about 80 yards, but i think they will work well on longer shots too.

So far it's all i'm useing in this rifle.

The Remington V-Max ammo has proven to be the most accurate to date in my rifle.
Good stuff! Crows don't like it much though

Rifle: Ruger 77/22 Mag., target grey with lam. stock. Scope: 3-9x Leupold compact.

I use Rem 40 gr soft point ammo now ,but everyones 40 gr HP seems to work ok.
The Fed 50 gr HP is the best but it shoots to far off POA at 75 yds to use with the rifle sighted in with the Rem V-Max.
If I was going to just yote hunt with the 22 mag I would use the Fed 50 gr HP.
IMO 100 yds is max ,I preferr closer.
The 40 gr sp shoots about 1-1 1/2 " low at 75 yds for me.
I have tryed just about every 22 mag load .
All work good to great on chucks.
The fast ,light bullets are to fragle for yotes IMO ( after testing on 20 -30 over the years) to anchor them all the time.

I'll have to try the heavier weights when heading out for yotes. I'm pretty new to the 22 mag and have only taken a couple chucks with it and the CCI 30 gr TNTs really do a number on them, but I wasn't sure I should trust them for anything larger. They are light and seem to expand too quickly. I did pick up a box of CCI 50 gr Gold Dots and haven't tried them yet. From what I heard though CCI is discontinuing them, maybe there is a reason for that.

The remington vmax loads are far from new, they've been around for a while
