Remington R3 Recoil Pad

Hi everyone,

I just bought a Remington 870 express combo with the riffled barrel for sabot slugs and I found out this past week-end that 12ga. slugs kick like there's no tomorow. Heck I wonder which end of the gun hurts the most...

I was looking in their catalog and they've got this recoil pad for sale, the "R3". It's supposed to be the best thing since sliced bread... so they say...

Does anyone own a remington with that particular recoil pad on? feel an different?

Yes in fact i have it on my .300 win mag. I love it it's great. So great that my dad took his pad off his old 30-06 and put on a R3. And it was a factor in his very recent purchase of a remington .300 ultra mag.

Makes a world of difference. They are all about the same in my opinion. Pachmay decellerator, sims, R3. Pick one, and you will be happy.

I posted in the gear review to you, the R3 and SVL - SIMS Limbsaver Recoil Pad are one & the same. So check out the cost of the SIMS vs R3, if true to form I'd thing the big green will cost you a little more green.
