Most likely it is illegal to trap a deer. Why would you want to trap one?

Unless you have a special permit, about everywhere I can think of, it's illegal to "trap" a deer.

Are you referring to an "antler trap"?

If you're thinking of catching one, I think in a few southern states, it's legal to snare a deer... which is a lethal proposition for the deer. Which states I do not know.

i would imagine a snare would be the only way...it is illegal here to trap deer though...we have caught deer in the hog trap before...so maybe a great big hog trap would work.

Ain't so far-fetched. Not so far-fetched at all.

I've caught a few in my days. I just rope them in like any wild animal. Then I break them and ride them around. They are one of the most sure-footed critters you'll ever saddle up.

Here's Dutch. I still got him.

I would bet its illegal, but a buddy of mine has caught them in his hog trap before like another guy said...
