Can this rule be ammended to say a person can only submit one deer for entry into the contest? On my lease we take cull bucks early in the season so they don't get a chance to breed the does during the rut. We don't take any big bucks until during or after the rut.

lhook7, After discussion with Deerhuntress56, rule 9 will stand as is. In my state I am allowed to take 3 Bucks legally during combined firearm and muzzleloading season. So, I am on my honor to go by the first buck rule too.

Let me take the time for a reminder, we are on an honor system here folks and we are counting on all of you to abide by that code. We thank each and everyone of you participating in advance. It will be very much appreciated and keep the contest running smoothly in the long run.

Thank You.

JR, This is what I came up with on NC regs.

Shotguns must be no larger that 10 gauge. And, infact using buckshot is very legal. Rifle and Handgun regs are the same, with the exception that muzzleloading pistols are not allowed in NC. That said, since it is legal in your state it will be allowed.

When I compiled the rules for firearms what I did was check each states regs, then did a "general protocol" for the rules I posted. All please note that rules differ from state to state, and per county in some places. If your firearms season allows for different from what has been posted in the rules. Please do not hesitate to let us know and if it is legal for you, that will be allowable. But it must be verified first....thanks.

Thanks to DH56 for letting me know about the regs of buckshot use in NC for Whitetails.
