Default Poll topic

I don't know how to generate it, but we got a poll on what we think it is going to take to win this. We can get the average score, we can we what percent of us tag a buck.

I would be interested in how much time we spent in the woods bowhunting during the contest. I think the majority of the members here are above average on thier time spent in the woods.

Can anyone post a poll for example that states.

Number of days or hours hunted

example

0-10 hours or 0-5 days
10-20 hours or 5-10 days

ect. I just think it is interesting to know. I would have to go back and look but I spent at least 15 days and prob. 60 hours in tree stands between Oct. 1 and Nov 12. Am I average or what?

I spent 38 hours in on stand (tree or ground) from Sept. 18 to Oct. 23rd. That was when I broke my leg. I had 18 days off counting weekends to be in the woods from Oct. 23rd to Nov. 14. If I spent only 3 hours morning and evening in the woods I would have had another 108 hours on stand. I was planning to stay on stand full days during some of the peak rut. Now I have all that vacation to use next year. Looks like I will break 200 hours next year, if I don't break anything. Hope that helps.

I made 31 trips totaling 68 1/2 hrs on stand. I could have put in a lot more hours, but once I shot my buck, I eased up a good bit.

I have spent 38hrs on stand since Oct. 1 here in MS. I will probably double that number by the end of January.

I also spend a week in Illinois where I spent probably another 20hrs on stand.

More hours than I care to admit without having a buck to show for it. Easily in the triple digits.

just wondering if you could also post pre-season time and if you use a trail camera. i bet the the pre-season and trail camera hunters who did there homework spent alot less time hunting before there first doe or buck. i have three places i hunt that i could set a watch by the pattern of the deer
