If I figured it right, it seems that (as of the time of this post) all of the gross scores added together came up to be 3,940 and 6/8 inches and the total # of bucks entered to this point is 38, bringing the average gross score to between 103 and 104 inches. That's actually pretty good I would think.
I have been very impressed with the scores. I had only measured one rack previous to this year (a 10 point). The inches really do add up when you get a buck with decent mass. I am really starting to think that my dream of getting a P&Y buck is reachable. We have seen several that would make the book. All we have to do is pass the smaller ones. I have also noticed that we are closing in on 20 percent of contestants getting a buck. That also is pretty good IMO.
