Little Indian, that's some seriously dedicated big buck huntin'. Holding for 150 class or better bucks..... how many archers can really do that? Most simply don't have the ability, hunting skills or field judging skills to even talk about that level of huntin'. Best of luck to ya this fall. I've been talkin to seveal boys who hunt KY and like you said, it's been tuff. I did see a pic just today of a dandy high racked KY buck that carried 28" beams that was taken yesterday. KY is truly one state that I would LOVE to hunt someday. You guys have really jumped to a very impressive producer of some of the largest antlered bucks in the world!!! Maybe everyone else will see this and they'll back off IL a little bit?

IL-Cornfed, We have 1500 acres in our QDM program. We roll our own food plot & mineral mixes. We won't take any buck that is less than P&Y 125 class. After 4 years of hard work, we are starting to see the rewards of our labor. Our county had never produced a B&C class buck until 2003. And it was killed close to the county line. I may never kill a B&C class buck but I am going to do everyting I can to get them to that point.
We micro-manage our property and work with the neighboring properties to increase the area of QDM. This allows us to put another 1000+ acres into QDM. If we want meat, we will shoot a doe.

I LOVE YOU MAN!!!

All kidding aside, you are THE neighbor that I want. We must be willing to do everything in our power to try to convince fellow sportsman to manage for a quality deer herd. To many years of misinformed "hunters" and improper managenment has taken it toll on our herds. It's time to start doing our part as "hunters" by balancing the sex ratios and taking only mature animals. On behalf of all serious bowhunters everywhere, I personally THANK YOU for doing your part. Another thing, I hope that this season you get the chance tp put your tag on your counties second ever B&C!!! Good luck my friend and best of luck to ya fellow Team Wall Hangers member.

Thats what you have to do to get them consistantly that big. We shoot nothing less the 150 until Dec. After that we take our pic. Good luck.
