Default Crossbow and Ground Blind Strategies

Hi:

I'm hunting out of an Ameristep Doghouse popup blind. This isn't entirely new for me, as I shot a doe last year with my crossbow doing the same thing. But...

Last year I hunted a spot where I had the main front window open only. I dressed in black and you (and the deer, apparently) couldn't see in. This year I'm hunting a spot where I really do want to have the front window open and a side window to cover two different lanes. Do any of you do this? How do you do it and not get busted via the extra light?

I use mechanical broadheads, so I'm reluctant to keep the (supposedly) shoot-through mesh on the windows...

Any tips or strategies from the ground blind crossbow hunters in here would be appreciated.

I don't think you'll have a problem if you stay back in your blind as much as possible. But have only one side window open at a time. Had one bust me when he saw the silhouette against the opposite side window.

Thanks for the advice, Cossack.
