Default rail lube?

i am looking at trying to get the least expensive rail lube, a friend of mine uses regular chap stick and says it works great and he gets two tubes for a dollar. does it really work or should i get something else? thanks

Don't need ANY rail lube if you use Dalton's string conditioner in stead of other wax. Sticky stuff like chapstick attracts dirt which facilitates string and deck wear.

Last year I quit using typical greasy rail lube and starting using PB Blaster spray teflon on the rail, no more wear on the serving. Just my two cents.
