New excal take a doe!
Took my first deer with a crossbow yesterday. Hunted with it from Thursday evening on, but just couldn't put it together until yesterday afternoon. Because I just got the bow, I am limiting myself to 20 yards, which makes it harder. That is close! Anyway, came together yesterday. Double lung shot, complete pass through, and she went 130 yards. Not much of a blood trail, but enough to know which way she went and she piled up in the trail.
Now hope to get my daughter out with it next weekend!
