it started out so simple, but didn't take long to get very complex. i just wanted a cross bow, some arrows, which i found out quickly are bolts, and some hunting broad heads. no problem. big problem. i was thinking 2-300 dollars at first but soon found out 300 up seems to be entry level. i went by my local BPS and looked at some. the one that impressed me the most was a parker enforcer, mainly because it seemed much lighter than others i picked up. it was like almost 600 bucks out the door. ouch!! any suggestions on others to look at would be appreciated. thanks in advance
Take a look at Wicked Ridge crossbows made by Ten Point a also look at Excalibur crossbows. Both Excal and TenPoint have lots of info on their websites
OH by the way. modern crossbows shoot arrows NOT BOLTS!!
Thar be some decent used one's around & Fleabay has goobs of Hortons & some Parker's. Get at least 6 arrows get a rope c0cker even a peep/pin is better than nothing. I killed many a tick toter with peep/pin set-up Decent single red dot good fer sighting in at 30 yds
Get the bow that feels best in your hands (when shot), has lifetime warrant, from a company known for customer support: Excalibur, Parker, Ten Point.
My personal fave: Excalibur Phoenix.
