I am looking to purchase a crossbow for hunting elk and deer. How valuable is an extra 30 Feet Per Second? I am looking at a Ten Point Titan at 300 FPS and a a variety of Parker Crossbows. They have an extra 30-40 FPS advertised.
For me the Ten Point handles better. Would it be worth sacrificing a little handling to get the extra speed. In the real world what will that extra speed buy you?
If it feels better you probably will be able to anchor and shoot quicker so I agree if thats all the speed difference is. I would also consider the width of each bow if you plan on tree stand use. It has to shoulder nice which the Tornado is pretty nice.
i would get the one at 300 fps, which is fast, the extra 30 fps won't really help vs. the way a cb handles. you won't notice the speed dif. and you definitely will notice the handleing.
Those blazing fast bows have a shorter life span. Most entry level bows shoot 285+ with 420+ grain arrows. That's more than enough for hunting purposes out to 40 yards.
