Default Horton hunter supreme

OK,
I know very little about crossbows but due to a shoulder injury I want to start hunting with one.

A guy at work bought a Horton hunter supreme over the weekend at a gun show for $100 and his wife gave him grief so now he is tring to sell it.
So I need some advice. Is this an old bow? Is it any good?
Any other advice?

Thanks,

I don't know much about Hortons, but one of the guys that used to be on here a lot[Hotburn76] said several times the older models w/ metal rails were better than the newer stuff w/ composite ones.

I think the Hunter is an older model, but would be well worth $100, imho.

A functional hunting crossbow is well worth $100. Go get some arrows and shoot it.
