Default Crossbow Stock Question

The stock on my Excal Vortex is pretty slippery when I'm wearing gloves etc. Anyone know of any product i could put on the stock & forearm for a better grip? I'm usually white-knuckling it when I hold it in my treestand for fear of dropping it.

Have used the black, anti-slip stick on material meant for stairs, etc on several composite gun stocks. Has rough surfaces that really grips. Made a pattern from card stock to see how it looks, then traced onto the back of the material and cut out. Remove the protective backing and stick on. Stays on very well. Got mine at a local hardware store, sells by the foot, believe it's made by 3M.
