old crossbow?

I have a balista fun gun crossbow anyone have any info on this my father purchased it about 30 years ago

Looks home made to me. I've never seen anything like it, which isn't saying much, lol.

Are there springs in those two black tubes? Have you shot it? I for one would like to know more about it, thanks for posting it!

It has rubber tubes attached to the string inside the tubes.

I used to shoot all the time when I was a kid still have the brochure it came with I will try to post the pics
