Default Parker customer service

Well I drove down to Va to take my crossbow to parker so they could fix it...

They were really easy to deal with... A rep came out and took my bow and told me it would be done in about a hour if I wanted to wait... Went and got a coffee and came back in a hour... Bow was waiting for me... The rep came out and told me that I HAVE to shoot arrows that are a min of 405gr or I stand a real good chance of messing up my bow... I bought a 1/2 dozen of the new carbon express crossbow bolts they are selling and off I went...

I was very pleased with there service!!!

That sounds really good!!! Like I said earlier, customer service is not an issue with Parker. They do lots of it, and they do it well.

Thanks for sharing.

BTW....did they give you a good deal on the arrows?

No deal on the arrows I think they were around 74 bucks...

I shot the bow today to sight it back in... Took 4 shots at 30 yards and was dead on...

Shot it twice at 40 and both arrows were in a 2" group

Those new arrows shoot great!!! Got them topped off with 100gr Muzzy's...

Ready for Oct 1st... It's going to get ugly lol

Hey Longbeard, do you happen to know much about the shafts??? Do you have a spine for them or if they have the brass or other heavy insert? What length are they?

Last, about where is your FOC w/100gr heads? My 225# Horton won't group until I get about 150gr on the end and they are over a tad over 10% FOC. That's why I ask the ???'s above. I want to shoot 100gr heads, but can't without weight collars. Mine seriously won't group in pie plate off a sandbag at 40-50 with 100gr on the nose. Make it 150 and I can hit a grapefruit every shot at 90yds. I was ready to sell the thing till someone on here got me to put some more weight on the nose. I am looking for some already nose heavy shafts is why I ask.

Thanks for your time buddy, and I hope for your sake it does get ugly!!! LOL

Here in WV we get a week long antlerless season in 5 wks. That is a first. Most years we are the last state in the US to start.

Thanks Again,

Dryridge

Not to sure about all the FOC stuff... All I know is the arrow has what looks like a aliuminum insert sticking out the front of the arrow about 3/4 of a inch... I know the arrows are heavier in the front of the shaft... It does say something on the box about FOC... The arrows also have small plastic fletching that are red and white...

I really didn't care about the price that much. I just wanted to make sure I was shooting the proper weight arrows... Hopefully I don't have anymore prob!!!

Default 10% foc

"I am looking for some already nose heavy shafts is why I ask."

10% FOC is not enough to consistently stabilize a CB arrow esp with broadheads, IMO. I'm shooting Gold Tips Lazer IIs with Brass inserts and Blazer...like a DART! 18% FOC with 100 gr heads, 20% with 125s. (weight 404 and 430 gr respecively). I also think a low profile, 4-bladed head like Slick Tricks flies more consistantly. Make my own though Crazy Farmer on the Excal site:
http://www.excaliburcrossbow.com/php...ic.php?t=28148
makes em for sale as does Danny Miller of Horizontal Archery. 740-483-2312 or 2030. (no site).
