Default Low end or just junk?

My dad has a bum shoulder and can legally hunt with a crossbow next season (turns 62)in IL. He is pretty cheap, sometimes too much so. He told me he found a crossbow in the latest Sportsmans Guide catalog. I don't know anything about them at all, but this one looks pretty generic IMO. Any experience with a Jaguar?

I wouldnt what if you need parts, etc.you get what you pay
for, would check with Wyverns for a reasonable entry bow
for a few bucks more!

I agree with "Coyote170". Go with a recognized X-Bow maker ... Ten Point, Horton, etc.

A decent starter bow at best, he'll wish he'd spent the money for an Excalibur later.
