Default My first Xbow buck

Got out of the truck by a friends house yesterday afternoon. Decided to cock my bow so I could just get to a good ground stand sight and load up. Walking to my stand on a tractor trail between to wood lots. Two does jogged by 20 yards away, no hurry just moving. Then another, decided to load up. Stood for a while and thats when I saw the buck through the timber a ways off. He ran up to the track I was on and stopped broadside 20 yards out and looked at me, then in the direction the does took. I turned on my red dot, slipped off the safety, pulled up and let fly. Burried it to the fletching just above the center line behind the shoulder. Saw the hit good as he ran off. Lost light pretty quick so I went back this morning with my trusty damnation Abby. She found him whille I was crawling along on my hands and knees on the skimpy blood trail, good dog.

Good dog. Good puppy. Ain't nothing like a good old dog to find your buck. Man, Bree, that almost sounds too easy hunting like that. LOL. I'd take it in a minute though. LOL. Good going man, Congrats and hug that good old dog a lot too. He's a real good dog!

I was thinking how easy it sounded too. I pulled into the farm at 3:00 in the afternoon and was back at the truck calling my son at 3:15 to say I shot a buck. I still have a doe tag and plan to hunt again this weekend.
