I would like to know what kind of broadheads yall are using on your crossbows. I used rage 2 blades this year, but I need to know wether to stick with them or get something new next year.

Thanks, Trevor

my friend only you know if you like the BH you are using and if its performing to your satisfaction.. if the shot is good and you got a pass thru and you collected your game the BH did everything it was suppose to. now if your hunting for field tip and BH's that shoot exactly the same you will just have to buy and try!

rocket steelheads 100 gr
excal boltcutters 150 gr
slick trick 100 gr
montec G5 100 gr

ABC Bolt Sonic 150 gr. They do a good job of adding FOC.

From another forum

Here are some numbers from the data supplied.

Broadhead kills . . .
Fixed blades
Slick Tricks . . .21, went an average of 33.5 yards
G-5 Montecs. . . 9, average of 66.25 yrds
Muzzys. . . 7, average of 64.3 yards
Wasps. . . 6, average of 90.7 yards
Boltcutters. . .5, average of 71.6 yards
Steelforce . . .2, average of 28.5 yards
Woodsman . . .2, average of 60 yards
Snuffers . . .2, average of 35 yards
Wac'em . . .1, went 30 yards
Easton Exterminator . . .1, went 50 yards

Mechanicals
Spitfires . . .9, average 41.8 yards
Rage . . .7, average 42.6 yards
Scorpion . . .2, average 20 yards
Stricknine . . .1, went 55 yards
Shockwave . . .1, went 50 yards
Hammerhead . . .1, went 15 yards
Steelhead . . .1, went 40 yards

Totals . . .

Fixed Blade . . .56, average of 49.83 yards
Mechanicals . . .22, average of 39.77 yards

There were some kills that I had the broadhead information but not the distance travelled after the shot. I included these in the "kill" numbers, but, didn't use them for the averages. Duh.

Not enough information to draw any conclusions. However, if I can keep track over a few seasons, then maybe the data will show some solid information.

Thanks to everyone that supplied the data.

If there's any more to report, then let me know I'll add them
