Has anyone tried to make
a homemade hunting crossbow.
and if so I need some tips
on how to.

Well...not to be an a......

But if I did that, I'd still know where/how to find them, you would not know how to find them!

So, here's the path...

Open "Google"
Type in "Wyvern Creations", hit enter.
Double click on the website that comes up as "Wyvern Creations".
Wait a second or two...and there you go.

Not difficult.

Actually, there are three or four web sites of this type out there.
You don't say exactly what you are looking for...that said, MOST..home made crossbows are of the Mideival style. That is mostly from the 14th thru 17th century.
If you are looking for something more modern, your best bet is to buy a finished bow.

There are a number of basic designs out there, the trick is to have a working safety...

The crossbows Im trying to make look like
modern day crossbows. I make a rifle stock out
of wood attach 150 pound replacement recurve
crossbow limbs and for the trigger I use a archery
release.
