Counted coup on a 8 pointer tonight. Nice deer but young; we're trying to get them to at least 3.5 before harvesting. Had him dead to rights at 28 yards and again at 30 and 32. Even had time to turn the lights on my LumiZone for the last "mind kill". No doubt that the Cyclone would have done the trick. Saw 18 deer in all but only 4 in bow range, one a fawn.

Patience, Smoke, patience; plenty of time to fill the freezer. My hunting partner saw the same buck last night...smelling his haul-up rope that had inadvertently dropped down. The big boys have not started to move yet hereabouts. Saw the first sizable scrape yesterday, otherwise a dry run. Saw 7, including 2 non-shooter buck, but nothing in range.
