Default PSE Foxfire 2

I have a landowner buddy of mine who wants to start hunting with an older crossbow that was given to him. He says that it's a PSE Foxfire 2 and it seems to him that it is really noisy. What aftermarket add-on's can he put on it to quiet it down? And does anyone know what year this crossbow might be?

That PSE is a few years old...!
I've thought about buying one of those...just for the fun of it...haven't done it yet.

One thing about most crossbows...they ARE noisy.

There are several rubber goodies to bond to the limbs and or stock.
I've tried a couple and have come to like the Bowjacks brand of silencers.

BUT...no matter what brand you use...do not...expect a quiet crossbow!

Rough guess, late 80's early 90's.

Might try a web search, see what comes up.

I had one along time ago that I bought used. I killed a deer with it. Complete pass thru. I got rid of it due to the safty was jacked up. If you took the safty off then tried to put it back on, the bow would shoot. Kinda scary!

Was talking to Danny Miller alot in the last week, lol, and he has parts for these bows and made a comment about a spring on safety that may be a problem.. Believe he said he had a coffee cup full of them and if my buddy ever had a problem w/ his PSE to have him get ahold of Danny. fwiw. [740] 483-2312.
