Default cocked and ready ??

I have a pheonix can anyone tell me how long I can leave it cocked?????? till the next day?? how about 2 or 3 days??? this would be in moderate weather , not in the hot sun. I have not done this but has anyone??? dose it streach the string??? will it shoot the same ,ect, just a thought, thanks John G

I don't know and don't want to know. It's a basic crossbow safety rule to uncock it at the end of the day and safety rules should never be disregarded. In fact, it's illegal in some states/provinces to leave it cocked after legal hunting hours.

i have hunted from before dawn til abit after dusk with my vixen cocked the whole time. i wouldn't let it stay cocked more than my hunting time allowed.

Unlikely that it would hurt the bow, or stretch the string. I is likley illegal to transport it that way (Is here) and definitely unsafe. Why, pray tell, would you do this?

I keep a feild point arrow in my quiver and uncock with that.
Some times I use the rope cocker to uncock.

I've left several Excals cocked over night in my shop to help stretch in new strings. Saves a few adjustments w/ no ill effects.

I have left mine well over 24 hours cocked too, for the same reason mentioned above, to settle a string. I wouldn't consider doing that in a warm climate though.
Here, in Ontario it is completely legal to leave the crossbow cocked as long as you choose, it isn't considered loaded until you nock an arrow.
